Supernatural Empowerment

Empowerment of Christ

Philippians 4:13; John 15:5

I haven't been on here in a while but I thought I would share this sermon with you, that the Lord gave me in early August to deliver at a youth conference at a church in my town. Instead of adding more at the bottom I'm just going to add my extra comments right here. We all need this supernatural empowerment, because without this supernatural empowerment (Jesus Christ) we won't be able to accomplish anything. I always here that God will never put more on you can bear, I was recently thinking (I could be wrong) but the scriptures says that WE CAN DO ALL THINGS, so I said to myself there is no situation that is to hard for me to handle because I can handle all of it because I have the supernatural empowerment which is empowering me at all times. Temptation is what I think what beats people all the time, but if we would just rely on Christ begin to seek the face of God we can obtain this supernatural empowerment.

Philippians 4:13

“I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.”

John 15:5

“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit for without me ye can do nothing.”

On tonight, if I had to use a topic I would use “A Supernatural Empowerment.” But before we get into the word, we’re going to get some knowledge of the word tonight.

In the Philippians especially fourth Chapter the Apostle Paul was encouraging the people. As I have come to encourage the people of God tonight. But, Apostle Paul also tells the Philippians to stand fast in the Lord, to stand fast in the Lord, is to stand fast in his strength, and by his grace. The Apostle also gives the Philippian’s directions of how to do things. He also tells them about the satisfaction in every condition of life. The chapters end with a prayer to our Father, God and Paul’s usual blessing which is “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen”

In the Gospel according to John the 15th Chapter, Christ is talking about how He himself is the true vine and we are branches and his Father God, is the husbandman. This chapter also goes on to talk about Christ expressing his love towards his disciples. The chapter ends with Christ talking about the Holy Spirit which is the comforter.

Now it’s time to get in the word.

As I have said before I wanted to use a topic on tonight “A Supernatural Empowerment.” We can obtain this supernatural empowerment from Christ. Because the Word has promised us that we can accomplish all things once Jesus has strengthened us. That means no obstacle or trial is too hard because we have a Supernatural Empowerment. But in order for us to have access to that strength we must abide in Him. As the scripture told us in John 15:5.

“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit for without me ye can do nothing.”

Once we start abiding in Christ Jesus, we can have that strength, to where we can accomplish anything. Can we break this down to the natural? If the branches are separated from the parent stock, it could produce no fruit, but would immediately die. Now let’s turn this around to the spiritual, so as followers of Christ, when we separate ourselves from Christ, we can’t accomplish anything.

But in order for us to abide in him we must constantly seek His Face daily, so that we can be obedient to his word. Seeking his face means praying and reading daily, and fasting often, so that our flesh can be denied, and our spirit man will continue to increase. A little motivation for seeking his face is He promised us in Hebrews 11:6 when we seek His face he will reward us.

But while we praying in the middle of the situation, we must have faith to know that everything is going to be alright, he also said in Hebrews 11:6 that without Faith it’s impossible to please Him. So if you want to continue to please Him you must keep the faith while you’re going through. A little assurance on tonight Christ is with you, You’re never alone, He promised He will never leave you nor shall He forsake you, and while He’s with you Christ is strengthening you.

But Paul assured us in Philippians 4:13 that with Christ we can do all things. Paul had went through a lot and accomplished them because he said he could do all things, but as he kept on going through Paul lets us know that he was able to accomplish because he had Christ strengthening him through everything. I had recently went through a situation and thought it was because of my own power that I accomplished it, but I thought about it, yeah I may have did a little bit but Christ strengthened me to go through.

So I come to encourage you all tonight to let you know that through every test, we have Christ on our side, who is able and can strengthen us.  We need to not give into temptation because we have a one who will sustain us. You may say it’s hard to practice abstinence but Christ is strengthening you to keep your virginity.

The job that you’re looking for, they may not think you’re qualified but Christ resides on the inside of you, so you a SUPERNATURAL EMPOWEREMNT which means nothing is too hard for you, He is supplying with that Supernatural Strengthening.

You may be facing problems in schools, they might have said you can’t do it, but I’m telling you, that you can, because you have a Supernatural Being living in you, which is supplying you with Supernatural power, which allows you to do all things.

We need not worry what is happening or what will happen because through it all Christ is strengthening us and he will bring out with the victory! That’s good news on tonight that we have a savior who is the same yesterday, today and forever more, who will give us a supernatural strengthening whenever we are in need!

Promises of God.

I recently finished reading the story of Moses, Israelites and Pharaoh. The story increased my Faith in God, I always had faith but encouraged my spirit; it let me know no matter how bad the situation may get God is a keeper of his promises, God is not a man that He should lie neither is he the son of man that He should repent. God will not fall short on his Promises. Be Encouraged that God is keeping his promises.

SIN!

<p>Sin, Sin, oh sin! Sin feels, looks and even taste good, however, its not good for you. All sins are equal in God's eyes. That the blogpost today. Little sin, big sin. The Lord revealed to me the other day that I was one of those people that compare sins. Every time I would do a certain sin, I would get on my face and pray for forgiveness. But little did I know when I told that little white lie to my teacher, I should've been on my face asking for deliverance and forgiveness. God forgives, when he separates them he separates them as far as the east frOm the west. That means they won't come back up with us again. We serve a forgiving God. Ask God to empower so you can have spiritual eyes.

Effective Witnessing

What is effective witnessing, effective means True, Witnessing means to share. The Bible tells us "He that wins souls, is wise." When we win souls for Christ, just as Phillip did to the samartians, He won them to Christ, so Phillip was wise in the sight of God. We must strive to be like Phillip and share the word, we must not only share the word with "Our 4 and no more" we must go into the community and witness.

But effective witness is not trying to get someone saved the first time, but as I heard a friend say "Love the Hell' out of them which means, winning them to Christ with Love. People must know were saved by Love, not just our actions but by our Love.

We often witness to the ones that come in the place of worship, but WE as the CHURCH must go into the community and witness, share the Word, don't go "theologian" on them but start of easy, expressing to them what Jesus did, and why He did it. Someobdody is out there waiting for you!

Living the Transformed Life!

What do you mean?

I'm soaring to live thee transformed life. What do I mean by the transformed life? Transformed by the third in the trinity, the Holy Spirit. The same Holy Spirit that transformed, Saul to the author of the Pauline Epistles, Apostle Paul, another transformation of the Holy Spirit is when the Holy Spirit transformed the Samaritans.

Acts the Eighth Chapter fifth through the seventeenth verse, talks about the transformation of the Samaritans. The story starts of telling How Phillip went down to Samaria to preach the word. I would like to relate the word to your "favorite food" isn't your favorite food good to you. It blesses your soul. Well, anyways as Phillip preached the word, it became very good to the Samaritans, so this is like you chewing your favorite food. So they became so persuaded that they received Jesus that day, Salvation through Jesus Christ, is the main focus of the bible. However, they were baptized and Saved but were not filled with the Holy Spirit. The filling of the Holy Spirit, happened few days later by the laying of the hands of Peter and John. That's the story I wanted to share.

We all need the Holy Spirit, its good to be saved, receiving salvation through Jesus, but as a believer we should all desire to be empowered by the Holy Spirit (Words of my Mother, Pastor Nikki Reid.) Why do we need the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit will transform our living, it the agent in the santification process. I was always taught about God, the father and Jesus, the son, the one who died on the cross for my sins, but never really took time to explain the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit is more than what you feel when you're praise dancing, or running. But when you're empowered with the Spirit you feel that way ALL THE TIME!
